I used 1 cup Kadala maavu ( chick pea flour) 2 cups of rice flour, sifted the two with 2 pinches of baking soda, ( no butter at home) salt, turmeric, chilli powder, ajwain, crushed kasoori methi, a ladle of hot oil, mixed well, added water bit by bit and then proceeded with the pokodaam nazhi.. Really worth trying!! The taste is delicious, very crisp, flaky and not that much fat in the mavu itself...
