burfi

Sweeten your Dhanteras and celebrate a very happy Deepavali with Besan Badam Burfis ! Heat 1 cup ghee... add 1 cup besan and 1/2 cup maida ..roast n cook on sim till u get a nice aroma . Add 1 tsp of powdered elaichi... lower heat . Make a thick sugar syrup of abt approx + or - upto u... 1 cup sugar in 1/2 cup water ...u can add honey n rosewater or evn saffron or if u like vanilla ess. to the syrup .....mix in the roasted n cooked flour ghee paste into the syrup n cook some more time .... add roasted roughly chopped almonds pistachios on the top pressing them in ...after u spread the paste on a greased thali ....mark into desired shapes while warm... cut after fudge cools completely. Tasted great . I chilled the thali so cld cut out burfis sooner
